When I was in high school I was trying to teach myself classical life drawing, I wanted to create antiquity like sculptures on paper. One day during some kind of open house event a woman approached me and complemented me on one of my drawings saying it reminded her of her father who was in the Vietnam war, she said he would draw pin up girls on peoples mail envelopes, insinuating he made a sincere effort at the craft. I took it as the highest compliment. As I start a new journey in life I drew my self a pin up in the spirit of the doctrines I learned from, well rooted in WW2 history, as well as remembering what this woman told me. Here’s a crude Dr. Strangelove-esque pin up drawn in my spare time.
